Erik Lamela posts photo to confirm he’s ‘feeling good’ after clash left Tottenham star bleeding from his head
Erik Lamela has confirmed he is ‘feeling good’ despite suffering a blow to his head that caused bleeding in Tottenham’s defeat of Crystal Palace.Spurs downed the Eagles on Saturday evening courtesy of Juan Foyth’s first goal for the Lilywhites, but there looked to be a worry for Mauricio Pochettino with Lamela withdraw in the final 10 minutes.2

Foyth headed home a winner from close range

The Argentina winger was taken off after a collision with Jordan Ayew left him with blood pouring from a cut on his forehead.2

Lamela has been a key player for the north Londoners over the past couple of weeks, and he’s starting to replicate the form he was displaying prior to a lengthy injury lay-off. Losing him for any amount of time would have been a real blow to Tottenham, but it appears Lamela suffered no real lasting damage.Taking to Twitter after the match, Lamela confirmed he was ‘feeling good’, with a photo showing the cut on his head had been stitched up.

Harry Winks came on to replace Lamela, and Spurs held on for a valuable three points which moved them four points clear of Arsenal to tighten their grip on fourth place..
