At a party at the Hilton London Wembley, City’s hotel for the weekend of the FA Cup final, Kompany told the players and their families: “The Champions League, it’s the only one we’re missing.”Kompany arrived at City days before Sheikh Mansour completed his takeover of the club, but in the 11 years since they’ve never won the European Cup – or even reached the final.
